How to Use

How to use Kedalion Sentinel for monday.com.

Kedalion Sentinel for monday.com is a monitoring and review layer. It finds potentially sensitive content, stores redacted evidence and review state, and keeps remediation decisions in your team's control.

1. Install the app

  1. Open the monday.com install flow for Kedalion Sentinel.
  2. Approve the requested scopes.
  3. Open the Sentinel dashboard from inside monday.com, ideally from the workspace view or board view rather than a standalone browser tab.

If the app opens with demo data, you are probably outside a live monday.com session. Reopen it from inside monday.com for live account data.

2. Choose boards and policies

Select the boards to monitor and enable the policy packs that match the types of sensitive data you want to detect.

  • Use All sensitive data for the fastest first-run evaluation.
  • Narrow the board selection if you want to test on one board before expanding coverage.
  • Saved configuration is tied to the installed monday.com account.

3. Run the first scan

Start with a manual scan so you can confirm the app is reading the intended boards and policy packs.

  1. Click Run scan.
  2. Wait for the dashboard to refresh with the latest findings and recent scan history.
  3. Review severity, confidence, board name, item, and column context for each finding.

4. Review and close findings

Use the review workflow to acknowledge, resolve, reopen, or mark false positives. The review trail is intended to preserve accountability rather than automate remediation.

  • Acknowledge when a finding is understood but still needs follow-up.
  • Resolve when remediation is complete.
  • False positive when the match is benign and should be recorded as such.
  • Reopen if more work is needed or a later scan finds the same issue again.

Resolved and false-positive decisions require sign-off. The review trail records status changes, notes, signatures, and timestamps.

5. Export reports

The dashboard supports two export paths for follow-up and internal reporting:

  • Findings CSV for detailed audit follow-up using redacted evidence only.
  • Monthly management summary for a higher-level snapshot of current review status and open risk.

6. Choose the right scan cadence

After the first manual scan, you can keep the app in manual mode or switch to a recurring schedule.

  • Manual for one-off reviews and testing
  • Daily for tighter monitoring on active boards
  • Weekly for lower-frequency monitoring where daily scans are unnecessary

7. Understand The Workflow Scope

Kedalion Sentinel is a monitoring and review tool. It stores redacted evidence and review metadata while leaving remediation in your team's control.

  • It stores redacted evidence and review metadata.
  • Board edits, deletions, masking, overwrites, and content moves remain under your team's control in monday.com.

8. Use the app-owned docs

This app site owns the troubleshooting, pricing, privacy, and terms for the monday.com edition.

If you still need help after the self-serve pages, use the production support page and include your monday.com account slug, board name, approximate time of the issue, and what you expected to happen.
